WRITING SKILLS : STORY WRITING



A story is basically a narration of real or imaginary events, involving real or imaginary people.

A story is generally designed to entertain, and send a message across. 
Basically story writing has four parts:-

Beginning: The beginning or the introduction of a story is very important.

Character Introduction: Your story will depend heavily on how well you write your characters. To develop your characters, you can use dialogues as well.

Plot:The events that occur or the description of the situation will be written in the plot.

Climax/Conclusion: And this is where the story will come to its logical end. Always end your story in an interesting manner.

Q1. Write a short story based on the  given hints.
(An old couple-hospitable and nice-fairy granted three wishes-wife unmindfuly said she’s hungry-wished for a cake-wish granted-husband angry on wasting the wish-said he wished the cake stuck to her nose-wish granted-second wish wasted- left with one choice-third wish granted)

Q2. Write a short story based on the hints given .(God’s promise to a disciple to visit her….. disciple cleans her house and waits for God….. poor old lady knocks her door ….. disciple tells her not to waste her time ….. next, beggar comes at her door step, she doesn’t entertain him either ….. Finally a child knocks her door ….. she sends him away too.…in dream God tells that he had come thrice at her door , but she didn’t bother ….. lady regrets…. moral.)
